QUETTA:Three day anti polio drive ended in Balochistan on Wednesday during which over two million children below five years age were administered ant-polio drops.
Provincial Health department sources told APP that over 6000 teams comprising volunteers took part in the campaign which had been launched on March 24 last. The Polio teams visited door to door across the province to administer anti polio drops to children of five years old. “As many as 2238600 children had the anti polio vaccine during the latest campaign”, the sources said
Besides, the arrangements for polio vaccination had also been made at the bus stops, railway stations and all exit and entry points of the city.
Police and Levies official had been detailed with polio teams while Balochistan Frontier Corps patrolling vehicles would also escort the vehicles carrying polio teams during the campaign.
