Mirpur: Traditional rivals India and Pakistan kick-start the Super 10 stage of the World Twenty20 today (Friday) at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Aaj News reported.
Pakistan and India will get an early chance to size up each other ahead of the World Cup Twenty20.
Pakistan Coach spoke to the media and said, “It is usually a high-pressure game and good for us to experience it early”.
“It’s an important match. It’s certainly not a dead game for us and we will look to give our best”, he added.
He was enthusiastic towards his team, said, “We must now play to our potential against India. We should not return empty-handed.”
It is pertinent to know that both teams have won one warm-up game and lost one, going into the ‘derby’. Crucially, India won their second game just two days before the Pakistan encounter and that too quite convincingly, against England on Wednesday. M.S. Dhoni’s team had earlier lost to Sri Lanka in a close finish.
