ISLAMABAD: Delays, arguments and ups and downs are common in talk’s process, Taliban and government have to observe patience in the prevailing circumstances, said Head of Taliban negotiation committee, Maulana Samiul Haq, Aaj News reported on Thursday.
In a statement, Maulana Samiul Haq said that arguments and delays are a usual phenomenon for a dialogue process. He urged the Taliban and Govt to observe patience in this regard.
He further stressed, “Establishing peace in the country is everyone’s responsibility.” He wants to stop from deteriorating the situation arising out of the announcement of no ceasefire from the Taliban, he added.
He said there was no doubt that the government was presently facing big challenges but termed maintenance of peace as a basic need to tackle them effectively.
On the other hand, while talking to Aaj News, Maulana Yousaf Shah said that the Govt has contacted with Taliban committee. “We are trying our best to arrange a meeting between Govt and Taliban Shura as soon as possible”, Yousaf Shah added.
