This was stated by Special Assistant to CM Ms.Sarmila Farooqui in her statement on the occasion of World Heritage day, being observed on April 18.
In a statement issued here on the occasion of World Heritage Day on Friday, she said that “our heritage is our identity and it is our core responsibility to protect the treasure of our ancestors”.
She appealed to world community to support and be united with people of Pakistan to save the sites of World’s best civilization.
She demanded that UNESCO should inscribe the four tentative sites of Sindh Rani Kot Fort, Banbhore, Shah Jahan Mosque Thatta and Chaukhandi Tombs into world heritage list of UNESCO.
She said that Sindh Culture and Tourism department is continuously organizing the different events like conferences, seminars, photo exhibition, tour and trips for students and journalists and cultural shows to promote and highlight the World Heritage sites and other sites of Sindh to the world for tourism promotion.
