PESHAWAR: As many as six persons including five policemen were killed in firing on a police mobile in Peshawar on late Monday night, Aaj News reported.
According to the Police reports, some unknown assailants attacked the police van in Badaber area, and as a result inspector and four other police personnel were killed while eleven others got injured.
While the ambulance was on way to transfer the injured to the hospital, the attackers opened fire on it that killed the ambulance driver and two others sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital while the bodies were transferred to Khyber Hospital.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has condemned the attack and ordered the provincial government to initiate probe into the incident promptly.
Further investigations into the incident are underway.
