Lahore: Advisor of PM Nawaz Sharif Irfan Siddiqui has said that the negotiation process with Taliban committee is being temporary delayed as the government is considering the matter of prisoners swap with the Taliban, Aaj News reported.
While talking to the media, Irfan Siddiqui said that government required little time to overview the list which has been given by the Taliban Committee. He further said that the government is thinking who is to be released and who is not”.
There was no pause in talks with the Taliban however there was a suspension in the process, he added. He said that although there are some hurdles in the negotiation process, but it cannot be considered as any deadlock.
