HYDERABAD: Senior Sindh Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that the provincial government is planning to hire 20,000 teachers to help reopen over 3,000 closed schools.
Talking to the media after attending the Second Educational Convocation of Bravos Cadet Schools System here on Sunday, he said that all appointments would be made on merit.
About copy culture in exams, he said that this practice is very old and it would take some time to be eliminated. “If we succeed to resolve it by 30 per cent, it would be our victory,” he added.
The minister said that the provincial government is working to update curriculum which will not only help students pass exams but also encourage them to learn new things, which would help root out copy culture.
Earlier, addressing the convocation, the minister said that the government is making efforts to promote education in public sector, adding that some times performance of private sector in education could be praiseworthy.
Chief Executive Brovs Cadet School System Flight Lt. (retd) Syed Musarat also spoke.
Later, the minister distributed medals and shields among the position holder students.
