ISLAMABAD: World Health Day 2014 was observed on Monday. The theme of the day this year is “Small bite, big threat”. The message of this year is that Mosquitoes, flies, ticks and bugs may be a threat to your health and that of your family at home and when travelling.
The World Health Organisation and its international partners underscore the importance of investing in health infrastructure that can withstand hazards and serve people needing immediate assistance.
The organisation also advocate a series of best practices that can be implemented to make hospitals safe during emergencies.
