THARPARKAR: Former president and co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari visited drought-hit areas in Tharparkar on Friday, Aaj News reported.
According to the reports, Zardari reviewed the overall situation of the region and relief activities in the areas, during his visit.
Moreover, Asif Zardari directed Sindh government to install water plant in Thar at the earliest besides providing land to Thari farmer women for irrigation.
The former president also directed to provide free meal to the people over there. Zardarai inquired about health of the drought victims in Civil Hospital as well.
Due to his visit, security had been beefed up in Tharparkar.
