ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has reached Afghanistan on his one-day visit to discuss war against terrorism and security situation with top Afghan and NATO commanders, Aaj News reported on Monday.
According to the reports of ISPR, this is the first visit of General Sharif to Afghanistan. Moreover, this would be the first tripartite meeting with Afghan army chief General Sher Mohammad Karimi and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Commander General Joseph Dunford.
During his one-day visit, General Raheel will hold important meetings with Afghan military and ISAF commanders,” reports said.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan defence ministry said, “The tripartite meeting is aimed at discussing cooperation in security and fighting terrorism.”
