ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday assured Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Khalid Langho that the commitments made by the Prime Minister and the Federal Government would be fulfilled.
Talking to Langho, who called on him here, Dar said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had a vision for Pakistan to develop infrastructure and communication links with the remote areas.
He assured the minister that the province’s share in PSDP would be provided for the projects.
Khalid Langho briefed the Finance Minister on the status of development projects in the province and said it was for the first time that any prime minister had focused on development in the province and due to this resolve and commitment of the Prime Minister the people of Balochistan had started thinking of federation positively.
He said the announcement of Sibi University by the Finance Minister, during his last visit to Quetta had a very positive impact in the province.
He further said that the people of Balochistan appreciate the Federal government’s assistance for the earth quake affectees of Avaran.
He informed the Finance Minister that keeping in view the backwardness and underdevelopment of Balochistan, the province would need the help of federal government for socio-economic uplift of the province.
