Diane Waldroop, who works at the Island County 911 dispatch center saved a day and a woman’s life by setting her free from an assaulter who had made her captive for 5 days and even assaulted her during this time.
Diane, on Saturday received a call, but eventually there was no answer at the other end. Its her usual work and part of training to give back a call to the other hand once if she is not able to hear something or she founds anything suspicious.
When she called back the same number, a male voice spoke up. Diane asked him, whether everything is alright or he need some help. The voice replied back with an answer, ‘No! Everything is fine, We are okay.’
During this call, Diane heard a woman’s voice in the background, who was trying to say something or scream out loud for help. Till than, Diane could hear her properly, the man hung up the phone.
At that time Diane thought, something is not right and she immediately traced the call and dispatched the cops on the particular address.
The cops after reaching there entered the house and saw a girl who was in a very bad condition and the man, knowing the cops have entered her house was trying to hide behind the bushes, but fortunately the cops traced him down and arrested him.
A 911 operator, with her sharp skills and training saved the day and the woman’s life. They both don’t know each other, but will always be connected to each other because of this contended moment
