ISLAMABAD: Terming the military operation against militant in North Waziristan a wise decision from the government and Armed forces of Pakistan, Farooq Sattar, senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) urged the government on Monday to also act against hideouts of the terrorists across the country including Karachi.
Responding to the Policy Statement by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the National Assembly, Farooq Sattar said that the terrorists have spread across the country and especially in Karachi, the Talibinzation has been strengthened which needs to be rooted out.
He said not only terrorism but extremism and extremist ideas are also needed to be eradicated from the country.
Farooq Sattar said his party support the government and Armed Forces of Pakistan’s decision against terrorism adding that his party was with the Armed Forces in its decision of military operation against Taliban.
He also urged all the provinces and the whole nation to get united on this issue and support the government in this regard.
He said that the MQM was always against the idea of dialogues with Taliban as they do not accept Constitution and all Constitutional institutions of Pakistan.
He also urged the government to take clear stand on the issue of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who are expected to migrate on large scale from North Waziristan.
