PESHAWAR: Earthquake jolts have been felt in Peshawar, Chitral, Abotabad, Swat and Bajaur and other parts of KPK and FATA on Saturday morning, Aaj News reported.
According to Seismological Centre, an earthquake measuring 6.00 on Richter scale struck Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, Hazara, Malakand Division, Khyber Agency, Mohhmand Agency, Bajur Agency and adjoining areas.
The epicenter of the quake was 264 kilometer away in Hindukush Region in Afghanistan at a depth of 50 kilometer.
The tremors created great panic among people.
However, fortunately no loss of life or property was reported so far.
