Though Lahore is renowned to be the “City of Food”, Karachi lacks no behind in the race. If you don’t believe me, witness it yourself by visiting Burns Road, the epicenter of all Karachiites foodies whole year round and especially in Ramadan.
Had you find any single soul in Karachi not aware of Burns road and its delicious traditional food. Well, in a nutshell just in case someone is novel to Karachi, Burns Road is a food street in the nucleus of the former part of Karachi and is popular for its traditional, mouth-watering, appetizing items such as Kebabs, Haleem, Nihari, fried fish and sweet courses such as Rabri and traditional beverages such as Lassi.
The road from the Urdu Bazaar and then a turn to the signal at the far end will let you enter the “hub of foodies.”
The splendor and grandeur of this street gets twofold or even more in Ramadan. Even if you happen to come by it at 2am or 3 am at night, better not get amazed by hearing the sounds of searing oils and delectable aroma all around.
So don’t hesitate making a plan out with family or friends at Sahar or Iftar because Burns Road would be waiting to give you a warm and alluring welcome with its scrumptious food stalls and shops.
