HANGU: Following a terrorist attack, a large number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Hangu in Orakzai Agency abandoned their camps and headed for safer places on Monday night, Aaj News reported.
According to the reports, the terrorists fired RPGs, hurled hand grenades and also shot fires in the air. However, no loss of life was reported as a result of the attack.
Following the attack, hundreds of families migrated to safer places after fleeing camps.
The IDPs said they have already received a warning from the Taliban to vacate the camps by June 11. The district and political administration had been informed about the threats and described the last night’s attack by the Taliban as a move to mount pressure, they said.
