ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday sought final report from the Employees’ Old-age Benefit Institution (EOBI) comprising details of properties sold or purchased by the institution.
The court also directed the EOBI to give details of the properties sold by people and their proposals for getting those properties back.
The directions were given by a two-member bench comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmani and Justice Athar Saeed during the hearing of multi-billion mega scam of EOBI during the sale and purchase of properties.
During the course of proceedings, the Bench noticed that the proposals by the people who sold out their lands to the EOBI need to be brought before the court.
Thus, the court directed the EOBI for filing of the final report in this regard and adjourned the case till June, 26.
