While travelling or passing by the roads and highways in Ramadan particularly in Karachi one thing that is commonly observed everyday is a tense scene of quarrel between two or more people and their vehicles dented and toppled on the road, arguing and blaming each other for the mishap.
Although Ramadan precisely preaches the message of tolerance, forgiveness and endurance. Moreover, these are the mandatory elements that ensure the completion of fasting but people in Ramadan seem to be more agitated and short tempered. They are ready to blow up even on little things, which is forbidden in Ramadan. People should know that anger and acrimony ruins ones fasting, and by using bitter language one only starves, that has no reward and benefit in the eyes of God.
Fasting is not only about resistance to food but its real purpose is to neglect bad behavior and maintain the principles of endurance, forgiveness and thankfulness. This is what fasting in Ramadan is all about. My message is for the people who often become a cause of such quarrels. Maintain tolerance and absolution this Ramadan. Stay in peace and spread peace.
