LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore disbanded the petition of Gullu Butt’s bail who was involved in demolishing the cars during the clash between Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers and the police outside the Minhajul Quran International Secretariat on June 17, Aaj News reported on Tuesday.
According to sources, a special court of the ATC had sent Gullu Butt behind the bars on 14-day judicial remand during the last hearing on July 19 after which the incriminated had filed a bail appeal. The indicter defied his bail plea.
After hearing the arguments, the court declined Gullu Butt’s bail application.
Sources report that Butt, who is also believed to be a police tout and PML-N worker, was caught smashing private vehicles with his rod police officials were present.
The court stated that there can’t be any facilitation for someone indicted of destruction while rejecting the plea.
