ISLAMABAD: The weather experts have indicated chances of rain in the upper parts of the country on the mega festival of Eid-ul-Fitr which would enable the people to visit recreational spots and enjoy the festivity.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), scattered thundershowers are expected in Upper Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
The met office has predicted scattered monsoon rains in the country during the remaining days of the current month.
The monsoon currents are penetrating in the upper parts of the country which are likely to intensify during next couple of days.
The monsoon currents would produce scattered rain and thundershowers in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during coming few days.
Heavy thundershowers are also expected at isolated places in Upper Punjab including Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions, Hazara Division and Kashmir on Friday and Saturday.
Rain-thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places in lower Sindh including Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad and Karachi Divisions, Balochistan including Kalat and Zhob Divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday.
