ISLAMABAD: All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM), Zafar Akbar Butt while denouncing India’s decision of closing down the UNMOGIP office in New Delhi said that people of Kashmir will continue to plead United Nations for peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute.
According to KMS, Akbar Butt, after returning from New Delhi where he attended an Iftar dinner hosted by the Pakistan High Commissioner, said that Kashmir dispute was not because of the UNMOGIP office in New Delhi but it was recognized by the world community besides pending in the United Nations.
“If under certain compulsions the United Nations is not able to settle the dispute but it doesn’t mean that Kashmiri people will stop pleading before the UN for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute”, he added.
He said that besides world community India Pakistan must understand the nature of Kashmir conflict and its geo-political implications. Without the resolution of Kashmir conflict, peace and stability can’t be guaranteed in the region, he maintained.
