LONDON: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader, Altaf Hussain has written an SOS letter to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon whereby he staunchly appealed to him to play his role in bringing a halt to the massive and savage killings of Palestinians which includes women and innocent children.
In his letter, Altaf said that Israel should be asked by the UN to promptly stop aerial strikes and bombardment on Gaza so that relief activities could be undertaken to help the victims of the atrocities.
MQM chief also urged all Islamic and other countries who claim to be champion of human rights to stand together against the Israeli aggression while expressing deep sorrow over the brutal incident and sympathizing with the sorrowful families.
Israeli authorities should be asked to resolve issues through dialogues instead of resorting to bombardment and use of brute force resulting in the ultimate death of innocent Palestinians, he added.
He prayed Almighty Allah to solve all the troubles and worries of the people of Palestine.
