KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) has welcomed Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the General Headquarters where he received briefing on the ongoing operation in North Waziristan.
Talking to the APP, PML-F Sindh Secretary General Nawab Rashid Ali Khan said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was paying full attention on the issue of terrorism, and that’s why he visited GHQ in Rawalpindi on Thursday along with his cabinet members and
received a briefing on the operation Zarb-e-Azb.
He said that it will boost the morale of the forces and help rid the country of terrorism.
PML-F leader Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh also lauded the Prime Minister’s visit to the GHQ and briefing on Zarb-e-Azb. He said that this move will send a clear message to the anti-state elements that the government and the armed forces are moving forward with consensus in the fight against terror.
Imtiaz Shaikh paid tribute to security personnel over their sacrifices in the war against terrorism. Meanwhile, Nizam-e-Mustafa party’s chief and former federal minister Haji Hanif Tayyab hailed the Prime Minister’s visit to the Army headquarters.
He said that it proves that the government and the Army are on the same page on the issue of terrorism. He prayed for the success of the North Waziristan operation.
