KARACHI: Chief of Awami Muslim League, Sheikh Rasheed pressed the government to pay heed to the NWA IDPs while addressing MQM led rally on Sunday July 6, Aaj News reported.
While addressing the rally staged here at Jinnah Ground to express cohesion with the armed forces of Pakistan, he said, ‘A state loses its existence when it fails to keep its borders safe’.
Rasheed further added while praising the efforts of MQM, it has proved to be successor of a great nation by holding a rally to second the armed forces of Pakistan.
Paying tribute to the army, Sheikh said that the whole Pakistani nation is praying for their gallant soldiers.
Evoking government’s announcement for provision of relief and shelter to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from North Waziristan, he said that the amount of Rs 1 billion is deplorably inadequate while quite a large sum of money is being spent on Metro Bus project for Rawalpindi.
He urged the government for not neglecting the IDPs.
