The Messenger of Allah (saw) enlightens the importance of charity and nobility in Ramadan saying, “Oh people! A great month has come over you; a blessed month; the month of charity in which a believer’s sustenance is increased.
Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all.” [Narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah].
Ramadan is an opportunity to increase nobility of conduct and to serve the humanity at utmost. There are very few lucky souls who get the moment to restore the sanctity of life. Among them is Bashir Farooqi Qadri, the President of Saylani Welfare Trust serving the poor and the distressed people of the society.
The main objectives of the trust are to facilitate people for education, health, environment, physical infrastructure, social mobilization, human resource development. Its services are countless. Even in Ramadan they speed up their charity programs by aiding huge masses and facilitating them. During the month of Ramadan they support over 50,000 poor deserving families.
They provide rations, clothes and money and others necessities to them. Saylani Welfare is serving food to almost 4,200 peoples in iftaar everyday in Ramadan. They build their camps in different cities and areas of Pakistan helping the poor and needy. Their excellent services are widely spread making millions of lives easier and better especially in the Holy month of Ramadan.
