“Allah is with those who restrain themselves.”
Ramazan is the divine month when Muslims fast from dawn to dusk and engage themselves in the spiritual reflection of Allah. Fasting which is avoidance of food and drink has a unique significance being a part of almost every religion in the world. But fasting in Ramadan has a great importance in Islam being one of its five basic pillars, it is the moment when worships of observers are bountiful and Allah opens up His door of endless blessings on us and rewards us for fasting throughout the month. Fasting is not only about starving with a pale heart but it is the month to feel the hunger and thirst that poor people suffer from in their everyday life and to visit the poor and sick, share their sorrows and help them to make their lives much better and easier. This is the time to reform our lives and get closer to Allah.
