PESHAWAR: A high level meeting with Director Hajj, Shakeel Ahmed Sethi in the chair here Wednesday reviewed in detail the arrangements made for the Hajj operation 2014.
Addressing the meeting Director Hajj said that provision of facilities and ensuring proper security of intending pilgrims was not only responsibility of the government but it is our religious and moral duties as well.He stressed upon the participants of the meeting to start their respective duties in the Peshawar Haji Camp from August 22.
About the health facilities in the Haji Camp Dr. Hajj informed that ambulances services would be provided alongside setting up of vaccination counters and Bank booths at the Haji camp by August 22.
He further said that the pilgrims would be provided the facility of scrutiny of their Hajj documents at the Haji Camp. Likewise big signboards and billboards would be installed from Peshawar city to Haji Camp for the convenience of the pilgrims.
Director Hajj also impressed upon the Wapda authorities to avoid load shedding in the Haji Camp during Hajj operation.
The meeting also directed Chief Capital Police Officer to deploy sufficient police personnel around the clock basis from August 25 during pre-Hajj operation till departure of the last Haji flight and the same security cordon will be maintained for the post-Hajj operation till arrival of the last hajj flight.
The police will escort the airline buses for transportation of Hujjaj from Haji Camp to Peshawar airport.
