KARACHI:A smartly attired contingent of Pakistan Naval Academy cadets assumed their responsibility to guard the mausoleum of Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, this morning on the eve of country’s 68th independence day.
Commandant, Pakistan Naval Academy, Commodore Navaid Ashraf who led the cadets laid floral wreath at the Mazar and witnessed the special “change of guard” ceremony along with many of the Karachiites.
It is on August 14 each year that the cadets of Pakistan Naval Academy, as a tradition, assume the responsibility to guard the Mazar e Quaid.
The ceremony is considered to be a special treat by many of the citizens who ensure their presence to witness the impressive proceedings.
On the occasion the guards also offered special prayer for the progress and prosperity of the country.
