ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Thursday said the doors were opened from the government side for negotiations, urging Imran Khan not to demand anything that did not fall within the constitution.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said the government was ready to accept the constitutional demands of Imran Khan with open heart.
The minister said the government could negotiate over the demands that could be sorted out through constitution.
He said the administration had installed containers for the protection of the participants of sit-ins as the security institutions had informed about security threats to the twin cities.
“Security arrangements are the responsibility of the government,” Pervaiz Rashid underlined.
The minister further said the government was making every effort for the security of Imran Khan.
He said the government had neither arrested nor forced anyone to return to their homes.The government was not responsible if the meeting place of Imran Khan was empty, Pervaiz Rashid said, adding, the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were disappointed by the attitude of Imran Khan.
“People return to their homes daily after listening to the musical show in the evening,” he said.
The information minister further said the government had acted with patience and tolerance despite threats by Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qardi.
He urged Imran Khan to give his suggestions to the electoral reforms committee.The minister said Imran Khan was himself the player and empire, adding, the PTI chief daily change his statement.
