KARACHI: Inspector General of Police Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali chaired a high level meeting to review the performance of police specially in the cases of kidnapping, extortions and terrorism.
The meeting was informed that from July 16, over 600 raids were conducted during which 223 encounters took place. During the said actions, 32 terrorists, 88 dacoits, two kidnappers and an extortionist were killed.
CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy told the meeting that 80 percent decline has been noticed in the cases of extortion.
The police chief appreciated the efforts made by police for peace keeping and announced prizes for the officers and personnel for better performance.
Jamali while paying tributes to the martyrs of police, said the police will keep curbing the crime from society with the same courage and passion.
