KARACHI:Karachi Bar Association (KBA) President Salahuddin Ahmed has criticised Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman
Imran Khan for giving a cold shoulder to Prime Minister’s offer for dialogue to resolve the issues amicably.
Talking to APP here on Sunday, he said that Imran Khan’s rigidity over his demands may harm democracy and disrupt economic progress.He said that it is time all the political parties focused on the fight against terrorism and resolution of the problems of the internally displaced persons.
Salahuddin Ahmed urged the PTI chief to adopt the path of reconciliation for the acceptance of his demands, as sit-in and long march will create problems and affect political and economic stability.
He said that the legal fraternity has made great struggle and given sacrifices for the restoration of democracy in the country and it will not let democracy derail.
The KBA president stressed that issues are resolved in democracy through talks, not by demonstrating street power.He appealed to Imran Khan to accept the Prime Minister’s offer for dialogue and get his demands accepted in a democratic manner.
