ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has accepted an invitation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to come for a meeting in connection with the PTI’s long march announced on August 14, Aaj News reported.
According to the reports, a delegation of MQM was formally invited to hold a meeting with the Prime Minister which has been accepted by the former.
The meeting is scheduled to be held on Thursday.
Government-led consultations have picked up momentum as the date of Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) ‘Azadi March’ draws near.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan has warned of shutting down the whole country in his recent statement if government resorted to put him under a house arrest.
Meanwhile, MQM Rabitta Committee has called an emergency meeting of the party’s parliamentarians at its headquarters in Karachi for Wednesday.
On the occasion, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain will also address the party members.
