MULTAN: Vice Chancellor of Mohammad Nawaz Sharif Agriculture University, Dr Mohammad Ashraf, said Friday the institution would become a milestone in the country.
Addressing a meeting of the faculty of the university here, he hoped that cooperation of agriculture experts and scientists would play a role in bringing the university at desired level of credibility. EDO Agriculture Shafqat Hussain Bhatti, Director Central Cotton Research Institute Sajid Masood Shah, Director Mango Research Institute Dr Hameedullah, Deputy Director Fruit and Vegetable Naseer Ahmad, Assistant Director Agri Information Naveed Asma and other professionals were present.
He said PC-I for construction of academic, administration blocks and hostel had been sent to authorities concerned. He said there would be 600 more admission in the university in addition to 230 existing enrollment. He said the university was facing classroom shortage, adding that they had contacted the Provincial Agriculture Department to overcome the problem.
The director Mango Research Institute said that all three laboratories of the university were providing facilities for research on mangoes.
