ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Pre-Hajj first flight PK 2001 carrying more than 300 intending pilgrims will take off from Karachi Airport for Jeddah at 07:00 am on Thursday.
Intending Hajj pilgrims will be seen off by Managing Director PIA, Shahnawaz Rehman, Director Airport Services, Aijaz Mazhar, and Senior officials of the airline, CAA and ASF said a PIA spokesperson here on Wednesday.
Later PIA 3 Hajj Flights PK 2201, PK 2101, PK 2105 will leave from Lahore on the same day carrying 1160 intending Hujjaj. PIA would be carrying around 54,000 intending hajj pilgrims to holy land.
Out of which 43,000 Hujjaj will be carried by 112 Hajj flights and 11,000 through schedule flights from all over Pakistan. From Karachi PIA will carry 6,200 intending pilgrims through 16 flights, Lahore 9,100 intending pilgrims through 19 flights, Islamabad 6,300 pilgrims through 13 flights, Quetta 9,600 pilgrims through 29 flights, Peshawar 6,600 pilgrims through 20 flights, Multan 4,000 pilgrims through 12 flights and Sialkot 1,500 pilgrims through 3 flights.
