ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be addressing National Assembly session today with regard to the current political turmoil in the country, Aaj News reported.
Sources report that the PM would take the assembly into confidence about the government’s negotiations with those staging protests(PTI and PAT)
Thousands of followers of Imran Khan and Qadri have been protesting outside the parliament building in Islamabad, trying to pressurize the Prime Minister from office.
Khan and Qadri demanded PM’s resignation claiming last year’s general election that brought Sharif to seat was rigged.
According to sources, late Wednesday PTI team conducted a meeting with the government negotiators in Islamabad to have a discussion on his party demands.
PTI vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi told reporters after talks that we have put our demands before the government and they have pledged to respond on Thursday after examining them.
