LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister, Rana Mashhood said that doors of talks always remain open in politics and the PML-N government believed in strengthening law and the constitution.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said that a game was being played to sabotage the constitution and law.
The government will handle political people by using political methods and elements trying to create chaos would be dealt with an iron hand, he added.
The minister said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri wanted to impose the agenda of those who were destabilizing Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Libya.
The minister said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri was using children and women as shields and the government was observing restraint to save people from any harm.
He said that Qadri should stop using women and children,adding the government was showing patience to handle the issue peacefully.
The minister said that some groups which were trying to create unrest in the country would not be allowed to fulfil their nefarious designs.
Responding to a question, he said Punjab government was requesting federal government, through a letter, to write to Candian government for cancellation of Tahir-ul Qadri’s Candian nationality because of his involement in different extra-constitutional activities or take action against him under the Candian law.
He said that if there was a need for bringing some improvement in the constitution, the government would also consider it but a right way should be adopted for it.
The minister said that where was Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in hard times,especially during floods and earthquakes.
Citing a report, the Punjab minister said over 300 policemen had been injured across the province.
