ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Affairs Irfan Siddiqui said that the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) wants to resolve all the issues democratically in light of Constitution.
According to reports, he said that people were protesting in the federal capital and the consultation process of the government was underway.
Siddiqui said that the government was in contact with political people who have direct contacts with the protesting parties.
He said that the government has not closed any door and was ready for talks with protesting parties, adding that the demands of PTI and PAT were being seriously considered by the government.
Some demands had been fulfilled by the government including electoral reforms and probe regarding election rigging, he maintained and added that government had formed a Parliamentary committee for electoral reforms.
Siddiqui said that the protest was being demonstrated near the sensitive areas and security of the sensitive areas was the responsibility of the government, which would be done at any cost.
