FAISALABAD: The government has decided to re-launch poultry farming scheme for women in rural areas across the province to enable them address poverty and unemployment.
According to a spokesman of Livestock department, paper work for the skill training was being completed.
Rural women would be provided poultry farming knowledge as well as training to deal with any emergency situation.
Early this scheme suffered due to ND (Newcastle Disease) which caused deaths of poultry birds on a large scale.
The authorities would provide vaccination facility for poultry birds at the rate of 50 paisa per bird.
The teams of Livestock department will visit each village every week and announcements would be made through mosques loudspeakers for vaccination of poultry birds,the spokesman added.
