KARACHI: Zakaria Usman, the President of the Federation of the Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI),has expressed concern over Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s protest plans for August 14, saying that it will have negative impact on country’s reviving economy.

Zakaria Usman lamented that some politicians after putting behind national interests are taking such steps which may destabilise economic environment and increase the problems of the people.
He said that the security forces are fighting against terrorists and they need full support in this cause.
He pointed out that despite challenges, the country’s economy is moving in the right direction due to conducive economic policies of the Federal Government, but such rallies and sit-in may badly affect it.
Zakaria Usman said that the present government should be allowed to complete its tenure, so that the country could move forward due to better economic policies.
He observed that rallies are not the solution to every problem, therefore, issues should be resolved through reconciliation.
The FPCCI chief advised that politics of confrontation is not in the interest of anyone, as it will affect livelihood and increase the problems of the common man.
