PESHAWAR: The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are giving a deaf ear to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief’s call for civil disobedience are submitting their tax returns and paying outstanding dues against sales tax and federal excise duty.
Despite PTI government in the province, as many as 700 registered tax payers including traders and industrialists rejecting the civil disobedience call, are submitting tax returns and paying outstanding dues.
Official sources said that Federal Board of Revenue has extended the date for submission of tax returns besides beefing up security of the offices in the province.
They said that 700 tax payers have submitted returns by July 2014 sales tax and federal excise duty returns in FBR Peshawar and Abbottabad offices.
