LAHORE: The position of river inflow and outflow at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages
on Wednesday was as follows:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 131,700 cusecs and Outflows 160,000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 23,600 cusecs and Outflows 23,600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 24,400 cusecs and Outflows 40,000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 39,900 cusecs and Outflows 79,00 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 194,300 cusecs and Outflows 186,600 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 201,500 cusecs and Outflows 165,000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 158,900 cusecs and Outflows 131,300 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 24,100 cusecs and Outflows 82,00, Guddu- Inflows 136,300 cusecs and Outflows 102,100 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 119,100 cusecs and Outflows 63,600 cusecs, Kotri-Inflows 69,742 cusecs and Outflows 29,607 cusecs.
Reservoirs’ Level and Storage: Tarbela – dead level 1380 feet, present level 1543.12 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 6.056 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1231.50 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 6.569 MAF, Chashma ? dead level 637 feet,present level 647.80 feet, maximum level 649 feet,live storage 0.232 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma,River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
