ISLAMABAD: The Customer Health Care Society (CHCS) on Tuesday distributed relief goods amounting to Rupees 5 million among the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan in Bannu District.
The distributed relief goods included clothes for children, kitchen items and other things, says a statement issued here by the CHCS president Dr Asif Mehmood.
He said the CHCS visited the Bannu District for the seventh time to help the IDPs. He said strength of the IDPs has increased from 5 to 7 lakh.
“The IDPs have spread all over the district therefore difficulty is occurring in supplying them with the medical and relief facilities,” he said.
He said medical facilities have been provided to ten thousand people including older people, women and children.
“A free dispensary has also been established previously for the people,” he said.
