KHANEWAL: Provincial Labor Minister Raja Ishfaq Sarwar said on Friday the government would not leave the flood victims alone and they will be provided compensation before Eidul Azha.
Addressing a gathering near Sanglan Wala relief camps, he appealed to the people to get united for the ‘good cause’ and set aside their mutual differences. He directed the PML-N local chapter to maintain record of flood victims so that they would be given compensation. He said that labour colony for district Khanewal had been approved and labourers would soon get good news in this regard.
To a question, he said, neither Cheif Minister Shehbaz Sharif was resigning nor was he being replaced.
Meanwhile, the minister appointed PML-N district president Rao Sadat Ali Khan as focal person for flood relief camps.
Rao Saadat informed, on the occasion that relief camps were set up at Mian Channu, Pirowal and Chowk Sanglanwal areas.
DCO Mohammad Usman Moazzam briefed the minister on the damage caused by flood.
