LAHORE: Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the apex body of chambers in the country, Thursday condemned anti-state posture of stooges Imran Khan and Tahir Ul Qadri.
Federation Chief Zakria Usman, while criticizing the anti-state speeches of Chairman Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) for the last 41 days on so-called pretext of “Nia Pakistan” and “Inqalab March”, said that act of burning the electricity bill publicly and continuously provoking the innocent and patriotic people was liable to be taken to task by the government as they are engrossed in harming national integrity.
Expressing displeasure over the anti-democratic attitude of Imran Khan and Tahir Ul Qadri and holding a PTI and PAT mob in the federal capital, he said that it has inflicted huge irreparable loss to national economy and rendered lot of poor daily wagers jobless besides hampering the economic growth in the country.
He asked a question, is it preparation towards “Nia Pakistan” and “Inqalab March” by totally paralysing the economy of the state? Strongly reacting on unwarranted speeches of self styled champions of democracy, Chairman United Business Group, the largest alliance of all chambers in the country, enjoying 99 per cent majority in federation, Iftikhar Ali Malik said that at this critical juncture, the country cannot afford such type of mobocracy at all.
He warned PTI and PAT leadership against such type of anti-state speeches and come to table for result-oriented parleys for better stable economy and the promotion of democracy in the country.
S.M.Naseer and Munawar Mughal, VPs, FPCCI said that the sit-ins in the federal capital had damaged the image of Pakistan abroad as switching over hundreds of export orders to neighboring countries thus causing loss to national kitty.
Both trade leaders asked another question to Imran Khan and Tahir Ul Qadri, will both leaders compensate the financial loss being suffered by industrialists and businessmen? Zafar Bakhtawari, former Islamabad Chamber Chief and Malik Sohail Hussain,Chairman Federation Capital Office, said that both so-called undemocratic leaders are playing havoc with national economy and nation will never forgive them.
They said that instead of forging national cohesion, strengthening democracy and establishing the writ of the state, both have restored to sit-ins to please their foreign masters rather than according supreme importance to national interests.
Mian Waqar Ahmad,LCCI executive committee said that these leader are not true representatives of 99.99 per cent of the total population of the Pakistan so they have no right to play with the destiny of the nation.
He said that entire business community stands united under the umbrella of United Business Group and thwart the designs of both Imran Khan and Tahir Ul Qadri.
All the trade leaders demanded the government to provide peaceful atmosphere as enshrined in the constitution of Pakistan for conduct of smooth business in the country.
