MULTAN: Prices of fruits have decreased while rates of vegetables are high in local markets.
In open market, apple is being sold at Rs 50/kg, guava at Rs 30,Banana Rs 60/dozen, mangos Rs 50/kg and grapes Rs 150/kg.
The purchase of fruits has increased after decrease in their prices, shopkeeper Rizwan Goshi said. He, however, claimed that people were concerned about prices of vegetables. He said patato was selling at Rs 80/kg, cauliflower at Rs 80/kg, garlic Rs 350/kg,onion Rs 50/kg and ladyfinger Rs 80/kg.
Saad Qureshi, a resident of Shadab Colony stressed the district government to take steps to control prices.
