INCHEON, South Korea: Pakistan hockey team is upbeat in their hunt to successfully defend their gold, Captain Muhammad Imran said ahead their Tuesday’s semifinals in Asian Games.
” We all are aware of the importance of our next two big matches and are well equipped to handle the pressure,” he told APP Correspondent Ehsan Qureshi in an exclusive interview on Monday.
” We have had always enjoyed superiority over Malaysians and looking forward to maintain it with some new tactical game,” Imran, who was part of 2010 Asian Games, Pakistan’s gold medal winning in Guangzhou under Zeeshan Ashraf, remarked.
” Pressure is always there in big games like semi-final, but my team is ready for the task ahead,” Lahore-based full-back said. “I hope that team will and I myself will carry forward the momentum which they have shown in the league rounds,” he added.
” Our build-up to reach the knockout stage was very perfect and our forwards had shown thrust for goals which was a great sign,” he said.
