ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the devastation and destruction caused by recent floods needs an early attention of Islamic countries, particularly the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar,Indian held Kashmir said that the magnitude of flood devastation is very high and the Kashmiris have lost both lives and economy, KMS reported.
“As a result, thousands of Kashmiris have lost their jobs and hence their bread and butter is in danger,” he warned.
Yasin Malik said that the OIC could play a vital role in this situation by helping the flood-affected people. He said that the JKLF was drafting a letter to the OIC Secretary General to ensure job opportunities on priority basis to the unemployed Kashmiri youth.
The JKLF Chairman visited Kursoo and Rajbagh areas of Srinagar and distributed relief goods among the affectees.
