KARACHI: The Cantonment Board, Malir is taking all possible measures to facilitate the Karachiites in purchase of sacrificial animals.
This was stated by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Cantonment Board Malir Muhammad Farooq while visiting cattle market on Super Highway near Sohrab Goth, a press release issued here on Sunday said.
He lauded the administration for the arrangements made to facilitate the merchants, customers and visitors.
He further said that measures have been ensured for safety and security of the citizens coming to the Cattle Market while on our request Sindh Police and Rangers are patrolling in areas surrounding Cattle Market.
He also visited different stalls and checked the arrangements for sanitation and cleanliness, lifting of litter and animal waste from the Maweshi Mandi to facilitate the Karachiites.
The administrator of Maweshi Mandi Rana Imran while briefing the CEO Cantonment Board Malir said that there was an issue of water shortage in the maweshi mandi due to closure of hydrants in nearby areas. However, the issue has been resolved due to special interest of Cantonment Board Malir and now there is enough water available in the mandi both for animals’ and human consumption.
He said that the shopkeepers have been instructed to display the price lists of food items on every shop to ensure people can get the goods at the same price which is available out of the mandi and requested the public to inform complaint cell about any overcharging.
