LAHORE: Punjab Emergency Service (PES) provided services to victims of 558 road accidents in the Punjab during the last 24 hours.
According to Rescue 1122, six persons were killed and 506 sustained serious injuries in the accidents. However, 228 drivers, 15 juvenile drivers, 68 pedestrians and 409 passengers were among victims of the accidents.
Statistics show that 96 accidents were reported in the city which affected 107 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 61 accidents in Faisalabad with 79 victims and Multan at third with 44 accidents and 45 victims.
About 493 motorcycles, 55 rickshaws, 39 cars, 15 vans, nine buses, 23 trucks and 54 other vehicles and carts were involved in the accidents.
