ISLAMABAD: PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has announced to take back his call for writing “Go Nawaz Go” on currency notes, Aaj News reported.
While talking to the media, Dr Tahirul Qadri said, “After the statement of the State Bank governor in keeping with the law, I take back my call.”
According to the earlier reports, Qadri launched an eccentric campaign himself by writing ‘go Nawaz go’ on currency notes. He told the PAT workers, “Write ‘go Nawaz go’ on bills of Rs5 to those of Rs5000″.
After which, the State Bank of Pakistan reacted to this campaign and said that writing anything on currency notes is wrong and such notes will not be accepted by the banks.
